Allah Most High connected Hajj with remembrance, making it one of the most important purposes of the fifth pillar of the religion. He says:

‘Remember Allah during the appointed days.’ [Al-Baqarah 2:203]

And He says:

‘Proclaim the pilgrimage to the people. They will come to you on foot and on every lean mount, coming from every distant pass, to witness benefits for themselves and mention Allah's name during known days over the livestock He has provided for them.’ [Al-Hajj 22:27–28]

Thus, among the chief purposes of Hajj is for the servant to remember Allah and thank Him.

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, affirmed the connection between Hajj and remembrance of Allah, saying:

‘Circumambulation of the House, going between As-Safa and Al-Marwah, and stoning the pillars were prescribed only to establish the remembrance of Allah.’ [Narrated by Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi]

This makes clear the significance of remembrance during Hajj, its great status and lofty position. What follows are Prophetic supplications and remembrances reported for the stages, times, and places of Hajj, as well as ‘Umrah and visitation. Learn them so that your Hajj may be accepted and your effort appreciated.
